The year was 2020.
At first, it was just for the 4 of us long-time friends. We made t-shirts that spoke to values that were important to us. It was just for us, our crew of friends. We had no intention of starting a brand or a business.
During that time, on several occasions, we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to have several meetings with celebrity entertainers backstage at various events in our city. Every meeting, we gave our shirts as a gift to the celebs who unanimously liked our designs and eagerly wore them. Their reactions and appreciation for our designs inspired us to make them available to more people.
Our initial drop of our first design, THE DATA, landed with authority continuously selling out at any venue or market we attended.
We didn’t even have a brand name yet.
We just had shirts with a message that was important to us.
For the first 6 months, we could not keep up with demand. What became very clear, very quickly, was that there are a great number of courageous people in all pockets of society who feel like that particular message is important to them too. A community of like-mined people was forming. We realized that what we all had in common was the courage to think for ourselves.
That gave birth to our name, Brave New Culture.
Now, our gear is available in dozens of countries around the world, fearlessly championing the courage to think independently, and contributing to culture awakening.
