Listed as one of the top 50 M.C.'s of our time, AZ is often referred to as one of the most underrated M.C.'s of all time. He has 9 solo albums and a 2003 Grammy nomination for a song with Nas. Frequently partnering up with Nas, AZ exploded on to the scene on the track "Life's a Bitch" on Nas' classic first album Illmatic. Let's not forget, when record companies heard AZ on Nas' first album, there was a bidding war to sign him.
One third of the well respected group Griselda, Conway the Machine turned heads with his hardcore lyrical wit from day one. The unique compositions Griselda produced set them apart from all others in their field, and Conway was a major element of their innovative sound and unique style. He and one of his group members made it to the list of '15 Best Rap Duos In The Game'. He has 3 solo albums and dozens of collabs and mixtapes.
One of the most popular and well respected D.J.'s from the early 90's, and one of the few elite D.J.'s of the mixtape era. Doo Woo is credited for giving birth to the contemporary mixtape format. Skits, D.J. collabs, creative themes for each tape, and freestyles by well known artists. He has even proven himself as an M.C., leaving a trail of sharp rhymes and collabs with the biggest names out of the 90's.
The name L.E.S. is sprinkled all over Hip Hop from the early 90's to the present. He grew up with Nas in the Queensbridge housing projects. They teamed up to produce the timeless classic on Illmatic, 'Life's a Bitch'. L.E.S. went on to produce AZ's classic 'Sugar Hill' and many other hits for some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, including the #1 hit by Will Smith, 'Gettin Jiggy Wit It'.
Born and raised in Queensbridge, New York, this icon of Hip Hop is a close affiliate of the Infamous Mob Deep. He appears on almost every Mobb Deep album and has released 7 solo albums, leaving behind street classics the underground will never forget.
Group Home is composed of members Lil' Dap and Melachi the Nutcracker. Part of the legendary Gang Starr Foundation. In 1995, the group released its debut album, LIVIN' PROOF, which is regarded as one of the great pieces of musical work to come out of the 90's. It was produced entirely by the great D.J. Premier and is considered by all to be of his best work. They released a second album, TEAR FOR THE GHETTO, in 1999. Lil dap went on to release I.A.DAP in 2008, and the ep CODE OF SILENCE, 2014. As of recent, Melachi the Nutcracker has been unable to perform, thus their prodigy m.c., Blackwood Jonez, has filled in his shoes as he has appeared on many songs with Group Home.
